Ingredients
- Sear fish cubes - 200g
- Refined oil - 50ml
- Whole red chili - 5g
- Mustard - 5g
- Jeera - 5g
- Fenugreek - 4g
- Pealed garlic - 6g
- Onions - 40g
- Tomatoes - 60g
- Turmeric powder - 8g
- Red chili powder - 20g
- Coriander powder - 15g
- Salt To taste
- Tamarind pulp - 20g
- Ginger garlic paste - 5g
- Lemon juice - 4ml
- Coriander leaves - For garnish
Directions
- Take the tomatoes and make puree out of it.
- Soak the tamarind and keep aside.
- Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice.
- Heat oil in handi add whole red chilies, mustard seeds, jeera and fenugreek
- Let it crackle and then put some pounded garlic.
- When the garlic looses its raw flavor add the chopped onions.
- Now add the turmeric powder, chili powder and coriander powder.
- Saute spices nicely then add the tamarind pulp.
- Saute it for some more time and add the fresh tomato puree.
- Now reduce the flame and let the gravy become little thick.
- After some time add the fish cubes and let it cook.
- Once the fish is done check for seasoning, garnish and serve hot.
