Capsicum Potato Fry
Ingredients
- 4-5 medium to large size potatoes
- 2 medium green bell peppers ( capsicum)
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- ginger and garlic paste- 1 tsp
- chilli powder -1-2 tsp
- turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- corriander powder- 1 tsp
- cumin powder- 1 tsp
- garam masala- 1 tsp
- salt to taste
- oil
- ingredients for tempering: curry leaves, mustared seeds, cumin seeds, asofetada powder.
Directions
- Half boil the potatoes and keep aside. Cut the capsicum and the potatoes into 1 inch pieces.
- In a sauce pan pour some oil and add the ingredients for tempering once the mustard seeds crackle add the onions and saute for 2 mins. then add the potatoes and the capsicum and mix them well for about 2 mins .
- Now add all the spice powders except the garam masala.and mix well.
- After 2 mins add the ginger&garlic paste and mix well.
- Now add salt and close the pan for a few mins. When the dish is half done add the garam masala.
- Then fry well until the potatoes are completely cooked.
