Capsicum Potato Fry



Ingredients
  • 4-5 medium to large size potatoes
  • 2 medium green bell peppers ( capsicum)
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • ginger and garlic paste- 1 tsp
  • chilli powder -1-2 tsp
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • corriander powder- 1 tsp
  • cumin powder- 1 tsp
  • garam masala- 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil
  • ingredients for tempering: curry leaves, mustared seeds, cumin seeds, asofetada powder.
Directions
  • Half boil the potatoes and keep aside. Cut the capsicum and the potatoes into 1 inch pieces.
  • In a sauce pan pour some oil and add the ingredients for tempering once the mustard seeds crackle add the onions and saute for 2 mins. then add the potatoes and the capsicum and mix them well for about 2 mins .
  • Now add all the spice powders except the garam masala.and mix well.
  • After 2 mins add the ginger&garlic paste and mix well.
  • Now add salt and close the pan for a few mins. When the dish is half done add the garam masala.
  • Then fry well until the potatoes are completely cooked.
