Paal Paayasam

NextPal Payasam Recipe


Ingredients

Raw rice    :    100 gm
Sugar    :    200 gm
Cardamom     :
Paal (milk )    :    2½  litre
Condensed milk    :    ½ cup
Cashew    :    15
Ghee    :    2 tsp
Saffron    :    a little
Pista    :    1 tbsp
Badam ( almond )    :    15

 

Method

Wash rice and cook it in 2 cups of water till it is soft.
Add ½ litre milk and cook.
The rice should dissolve in milk.
The rice can be ground in a mixie and also added.
In a thick bottomed vessel, boil milk till it becomes thick.
Add cooked rice, sugar and saffron.
Cut pista, cashew, badam into small pieces and fry in a little ghee.
Add the fried items to the milk.
Powder cardamom and add to the milk paayasam.
