Ingredients
Sprouted green gram( moong) 1 cup
Sour curds 1 cup
Gram flour 2 tblsp
Red chillis 3-4
Black pepper 1/2 tsp crushed coarsely
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
Ginger a small piece finely chopped
Hing a little
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tsp
Curry leaves a few
Sugar 1 tsp
Method
Cook the sprouted green gram in water till just done.Do not over cook the moong. Drain and keep aside.
Add the gram flour to the sour curds and beat well with out any lumps.Add water and make it up to 3 cups.
Add salt, sugar, chopped ginger ,asofetida and crushed black pepper to the curd mixture.
Heat the curd mixture in a thick bottomed pan over low heat, stirring all the while till it thickens.
Add the cooked Sprouted green gram and cook for another few minutes.Remove from heat.
Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds,and curry leaves.
Then add the red chillies. Fry till the chillies change colour and pour this over the kadhi.
Serve hot with plain rice.
