Ricotta Rasmalai Recipe

Ingredients

 ricotta cheese
Sufficient sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
orange food colourMethod:

 Hang Ricotta cheese in a cloth for an hour. Mix sugar (to your taste) in it.And blend in a mixer to smooth texture. 

Spread it in a layer in a baking tray so that the layer is not thicker than1".

Bake the cheese in a preheated oven at 300F on the middle level rack till a toothpick inserted comes out clean. It will take 35-40 mins.

Meanwhile, boil some milk, add sugar, cardamom powder and kesar.Keep heating it till it becomes thick and half of the quantity.Or u can just use condensed milk mixed with some milk  or half and half  mixed with some sugar and cook it till thick. But then be careful with the amount of sugar added to the cheese .Add some elaichi and food colour if needed.

Cut the baked cheese in desired shapes and put them in the  cooked milk mix.

Serve chilled.
