Ingredients:
Rava (suji) - 2 cups
Onions - 3
Tomatoes - 2
Green beans - 100 gms
Carrots - 2
Green peas - 100 gms (Shelled)
Green chillies - 3-4
Roasted peanuts - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
Black gram - 1/2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - A pinch
Lemon - 1
Red chillies - 2
Oil - 4 tbsp
Coriander leaves - a tbsp
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
Method :
1. Dry roast rava (suji) slightly and keep cool.
2. Chop onions into lengthwise and slice tomatoes into medium pieces, slit green chillies into lengthwise two pieces, chop green beans into 1/2 inch pieces. Peel carrots and chop finely.
3. Heat oil in a "tawa", put mustard seeds. When it starts crackle, add cumin seeds, bengal gram, black gram fry till golden colour.
4. Now add onions and fry till soft. Add geen chillies, curry leaves and green peas, carrots, green beans, fry for while. Add turmeric powder.
5. After frying for another 2 minutes, add 4 cups of water. Bring it to the boil and lower the flame, till the vegetables are tender, add salt and lemon juice.
6. Now add roasted rava (suji), slowly pour into the boiling water and stir continuously till add the waters dries up.
7. Finally add sliced tomatoes and coriander leaves and stir till very thick. Garnish with red chillies, peanuts and serve hot with chutney.
