Mango Sorbet is a sort of guiltfree icecream in which one can indulge to one's heart content.
Basically Sorbet is is a frozen dessert made from sweetened water flavored with iced fruit (typically juice or puree), chocolate, wine. The origins of sorbet can be traced to a Middle Eastern drink charbet, made of sweetened fruit juice and water.(source:wikipedia)
Ingredients:serves 6-8persons
1kg ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup fresh squeezed juice/tinned juice
Juice from half a lime
Procedure:
Mix sugar and juice in a pan and heat it on high till it comes to a bubbling boil.Let it cook for 1 -2 minutes, till all the sugar is dissolved completely.blend the mango cubes first in a food processor or blender. Add the juice syrup and puree till it's completely smooth. Pour it into a bowl and add lime juice. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours and freeze according to your ice cream maker's directions.

1/2kg mangoes(I used 2 med)-peeled and diced
3/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup sugar
a splash of lemon juice
Procedure:
Place mango in a blender/processor and process till its pureed. Mix water, sugar and lemon juice in a pan and heat it on low till the sugar dissolves. Mix this with the mango puree. And freeze till set.
