Ingredients
Semolina : 1 cup
Ginger : small piece
Green Chilli : 2 or 3
Curry leaves : a few leaves
Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
Salt : as needed
Curd : 1 - 1½ cups
Sour idli batter : 2 cups
For seasoning
Gingelly oil : as needed
Mustard : as needed
Black gram dal : as needed
Cashew : as needed
Method
Cut ginger and chilli into fine pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, black gram dal, cashew.
When mustard splutters, and the dal is fried red, add semolina and fry till red.
Remove from fire.
Add ginger, chilli, curry leaves, turmeric powder, curd, sour idli batter and mix well.
Set aside for ½ an hour.
Pour the batter in idli moulds and steam them till done.
