Ingredients:

urad dal or kaalo dal(black pulse): 2 cups
ginger paste: 1 tsp
garlic paste: 1 tsp
red chilli powder:1 tsp
vegetable oil: as required
salt to taste

Method:

Soak the pulse overnight and then grind it properly making a thick paste.Add salt,ginger-garlic paste,red chilli powder.Mix it well.Now take a non stick pan or taawa ,spread oil with a slice of onion on it and then pour the mixture slowly making a round roti, cover the pan and let it cook well on low flame,turn it around and cook the other side as well,add oil as required.Similarly cook other baras too.It is ready to serve with hot pickle or tomato ketchup.

Note:

This is plain baara,you can prepare egg baara too,this is perfect if you love eggs.Prepare plain baara first and then pour an egg without beating it on the top of baara,sprinkle salt and red chilli powder on it,cover the pan for 2-3 minutes and now your egg baara is ready to serve and eat....yummy!!!
