this is ethnic havyak brahmin recipe.

you need little gourd 200gms.cut lengthwise,grated coconut 1cup,greenchillies 2,buttrmilk(sour)150ml.
method:cook littlegourd till tender,grind coconut and greenchillies with 4gms(nearly a tsf)of salt and add to the cooked veg.
boil for 5 mnts.
add sour buttermilk
remove from the stove. 
you may garnish with fried curry leaves and mustard seeds

goes well with parboiled rice
