This is a recipe my mom came up with one fine day and ever since I've been a fan of it! So here I am sharing this simple yet yummy pakora curry with you all!
Ingredients
Small size tomatoes - 2
Medium size onions – 2
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
Onion pakora - 100 gms (here, readymade pakoras you get in the shop)
Coriander leaves
Mint leaves (pudhina) – few leaves
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Mustard – 1 tsp
Cardamom - 1
Small cinnamon stick - 1
Cloves - 1
Saunf - a small pinch
Poppy seeds (khas-khas) - a small pinch
Turmeric powder - half a tsp
Chilli powder - one tsp
Salt to taste
Oil
Method
Heat 2 tsps of oil in a pan and splutter mustard, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, saunf and poppy seeds. Add one sliced onion and sauté till the onions turn golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell leaves. Make a paste of tomato and one onion and add the paste and stir well. Add a glass of water and let it boil. Add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, chilli powder and a little pepper. Keep stirring till it becomes semi gravy. Add the onion pakoras and stir well. Garnish it with coriander and pudhina leaves and keep it closed for a while before serving.
Best served with rotis, puris or parathas.
