Lohri

LohriLohri festival is celebrated by Punjabis and falls on the 13th of January every year to worship fire. People celebrate it with great pomp and fanfare. Everyone gathers around bonfire and throw til, puffed rice and popcorns into the flames, and offer prayers seeking abundance and prosperity. Celebrations include folk songs and dance, and visits to the colourful fairs followed by lavish dinners.
