Rice - 3 cups
White channa - 200 gms
Capsicums - 2
Green peas - 200 gms
Onion - 1
Tomatoes - 2
Fresh milk - 1 cup
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Cloves - 2
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Method :
1. Wash the rice and soak in water for 20 minutes.
2. Cut capsicums, tomatoes, onion into small equal pieces.
3. Soak channa in water for 2 hours and boil till tender and keep aside.
4. Heat oil and stir - fry onion till soft. Add cloves, green peas and capsicums, fry for few minutes.
5. Add tomatoes, pepper powder, garam masala powder, sugar and salt, stir fry for a minute.
6. Meanwhile cook the soaked rice with enough water.
7. When the rice is cooked. Mix with fried vegetable mixture. Add fresh milk and boiled channa. Stir it.
8. Keep simmer on a low fire till vegetables are tender over the rice.
9. Serve hot with tomato soup and coriander chutney.
