Ingredients
Vaazhaipoo ( banana flower ) : 1 cup
Tamarind : a lemon sized ball
Garlic : 3 pods
Small onion : 10
Chilli powder : 3 tsp
Turmeric powder : a little
Cumin : a little
Gingelly oil : as needed
Curry leaves : as needed
Method
Cook the banana flower.
Crush onion, garlic.
Soak tamarind in water and prepare extract.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Add cumin, curry leaves.
Add crushed onion, garlic and fry.
Add tamarind extract, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Add the cooked banan flower.
When the kuzhambu boils and the oil floats above the contents, remove from the stove.
