1kg Mutton or Chicken [cut in medium pieces]
1/2 kg Basmati rice
2 medium size Onions
2 medium size potatoes
1 Capsicum
2 Tomatoes
2 Tbsp. chopped mint
2 tbsp. chopped coriander
20 gms ginger paste
20 gms garlic paste
20 gms coconut grated
1 1/2 tbsp red chilly powder
11/2 tbsp tumeric powder
1 1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
250 gms curd
salt to taste
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
whole garam masala
some water to cook

Method:
Merinate the mutton or chicken with curd, salt ginger -garlic passte, chilly powder, tumeric powder, garam masala powder, chopped coriendern n mint . leave it aside for atleast one hour.
cut the onions long n fry them. when they turn golden brown keep some aside n in rest add grated coconut n fry till coconut turns golden brown. Then add the merinated mutton or chicken n fry it till the oil starts to leave. Cut tomatoes n capsicum into big pieces n add to the meat. then add some water n cook in the pressure cooker till it is 3/4 done.
Boil the basmati rice with part of whole garam masala n some salt till they are 3/4 done. Drain the rest water when rice is 3/4 done.
Take the 3/4 done meat in the vessel n layer it wid the rice. On the top layer garnish it wid remaining fried onion n some mint leaves.
Heat the Charcaol red hot n put it in a small bowl n on its top put the whole garam masala n some ghee
n put the whole into the top layer of rice n close the vessel with the lid tightly.
Put the whole vessel on low flame till it is done.
serve hot wid raita or just plain curd
