1. Wash the rice and soak in water for 20 minutes. 2. Heat ghee, put cumin seeds, cardamoms, bayleaf and add soaked rice and soaked saffron and colour powder with 3 1/2 cups of water. 3. Bring it to the boil on low flame and cook it covered until water dries up. 4. Add sugar and dry fruits with raisins, cook covered on a medium flame for 5-7 minutes. 5. Pour little ghee on top of the cooked rice mixture. Keep covered for 10 minutes before serving. 6. Garnish with dry fruits and serve gently.
