Serves 2 to 3. Ingredients
1 1/2 cups chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons cream
a pinch sugar
2 tablespoons oil
salt to taste
To be ground into a paste
1 onion
1 green chilli
12 mm. (1/2") piece ginger
1 clove garlic
2 tablespoons cashewnuts
2 teaspoons poppy seeds (khus-khus) Method
1.
Wash the fenugreek leaves, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and leave aside for 10 minutes. Then, squeze out the water.

In a glass bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of oil with the cumin seeds and fenugreek leaves and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes. Remove and keep aside.

In another glass bowl, combine the green peas with 2 tablespoons of water nad microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
4.
In a glass bowl, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil, the prepared paste and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
5.
Add the milk, cream, sugar, salt and the cooked fenugreek and peas and microwave on HIGH for another 2 minutes.
6.
Serve hot.
