GOOSEBERRIES- 1 KG
SALT- TO TASTE
CHILLY POWDER -FOUR TEASPOONS OR TO TASTE
ASTEOFOTIDA- A PINCH
COOKING OIL - FOUR TABLESPOONS
TURMERIC- 1 PINCH
MUSTARD- FOR BURSTING
METHOD
Boil the washed gooseberries at a water level that soaks all the contents. Add salt and turmeric. AFter ten minutes, they get tender.Close it witha lid and leave it for cooling. After cooling, take a frying pan, add oil and burst mustard. DRain teh gooseberries and put them in the pan. Add some more salt, chilly powder,asteofotida. Turn them till all the contents are smeared with the condiments. Close it with a lid. You can bottle it after cooling takes place. Store it in an air tight container. It can be had almost immediately, with rice or rotis.
