You know what Bhel is, don't you?
 
It's a yummy lip smacking sweet, sour, zesty symbiosis of churmure, sevs, chiwda, nuts, tomatoes, onions, green chillies and corriander, kairee [raw mango], potato, sweet and hot chutneys, a dash of lime etc etc mixed well in a stainless steel vessel and served fresh and eaten immediately.

Pune is the place for authentic Maharashtrian Bhel [not Mumbai Chowpatty or other places like Vithal where the stuff is quite improvised].

Hey, all fellow Punekar Foodies, will you please be so good and tell me where you get the best "Bhel" in Pune now.

When I was a small boy I liked Kalpana Bhel in Parvati Chowk on the way to Saras Baug and the famous Pushkarni Bhel near Vishrambaug Wada. Now my daughter says "Canal" Bhel is her favourite. The other day I relished the much hyped Kalyan Bhel. Now there is such a proliferation of Bhel Stalls all over Pune and I am confused and wonder where I can enjoy the best really authentic tasty Bhel in Pune.

I'm yearning for a yummy lip-smacking "Bhel" - so my dear friends, especially the Punekars, please tell me which is your favourite delectable Bhel in Pune!

My mouth waters in anticipation as I looking forward to your replies.
