AVAL [POHA] 2 cups
Greengramdal 1 cup
Masala powder
Coriander seeds 1 cup
Bengalgramdal 1/2 cup
Urad dal 1/4 cup
Red chillie Bedagi 100 grams
Black pepper 1 teaspoon
Khuskhus 2 tsp
Cardamam 4 nos
Clove 8 nos
Cinnamon and Mogguone handful
Copra 200 grams
Fry in little oil,Clove,cardamom,cinnamon,moggu,off the stove,add khuskhus. Keep aside.
Fry, corianderseeds, and dals separately.without oil.
Fry the red chilli in a little oil.
Powder everything in mixi, after cooled ,bottle for use.
This powder can be used for as per the quantity you cook.
Vegetables
Greenpeas 100 grams
Beans 250 grams
Potato big One
Turnip one
Cut all vegetables except peas, half finger length..In little water, boil vegetables till done. Wash aval,drain water.Cook the greengram dal
and avl in 5 cups water.[ No need to pressure cook]
Squeeze tamarind a lemon size add this and enough salt to aval.add vegetables.Mix well and stir for a few minutes.Add 1/2 cup masala powder,and stir well. Heat one big ladleful oil fry mustard seeds, Red chillies 2 numbers,One tsp asafotida powder,and pour in the bath.
Fry in ghee cashewnuts and copra pieces.1/4 cup each and add .
Garnish with finely cut coriander and curry leaves.[Onions ,small or big can also be fried and mix with vegetables]
