Indian pizza

Although everybody tells us to eat healthy and good, sometimes we do have cravings that we know are unhealthy but delicious anyway!!Many of us hit the pizza huts, mcdonalds to satisfy us.But if you are dying to have a pizza in the middle of day and feel lazy to get ready and go out, then look no more than good old dosa batter in your kitchen.Just a little jazzing up and there it is-indian style pizza, fulfilling enough to keep you happy and beaming the rest of the day! You can use fresh dosa batter for couple of pizzas or can use leftover batter  in case u got bored of dosas!

Preparation time: 10 minutes. Cooking time: 20 minutes. Makes 2  pizzas.

1 cup  dosa batter
¼ cup tomato ketchup
2 tbsp tomato chilli sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Oil for cooking

For the topping
6 capsicum rings
6 tomato slices
6 onion rings
chopped baby spinach/cleaned and cut mushrooms / any other toppings of your choice

1. Heat a non-stick pan on a medium flame and grease it with a little oil.
2. Pour ½ cup of the batter on it in such a way that it forms a thick circle like like the one we make for making utappa, not a thin one like dosa.
3. Lower the flame and allow it to cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Spread some tomato ketchup and tomato chilli sauce on it.
5. Top with 3 slices of each of capsicum, tomatoes and onions and any other toppings you wish for.
6. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
7. Cover with a lid and cook on a low flame 10 to 15 minutes or till the base is evenly browned and the cheese melts.
Serve hot.It will be a hit with kids and elders alike.
Note:Instead of tawa, you can cook it in oven too,but keep watching the pizza just till cheese melts, don't let it burn.
