Bitter Guard it self sound bitter ............but this bitter guard which we wont like is very good for health
Try this recipe
INGREDIENTS
Bitter guard (Kakarakaya) - 1/4Kg
For seasoning
Oil - 6 tbs
Jeera - 1 1/2 tbs
Dhania powder pinch
Mustard seeds - 1 tbs
Karipatha
Crushed garlic pieces - 7(depends on taste)
Red chilli powder - 2tbs
Methi powder - 1tbs
Lemon juice - 2 tbs
Salt - for taste
Procedure
Wash the bitter guard and cut it in to thin sices.Fry thye in oil for 2-3 minute and keep them aside.
Pour 6tbs of oil in a kadai and heat it, after that put jeera,mustard seeds,crushed garlic pieces and Curry leaves season them while letting it down in low heat add red chilli powder first,salt,methi powder,dhania powder along with the fried bitter guard pieces and cook it for 2 minutes.
After that add 2 tbs of lemon juice after getting it down.
We can serve it with rice and other tiffins tooo
